No more excuses! (Simple tip to stick with exercise)

Here's the thing, it's so easy to come up with excuses for why you didn't work out on any given day. Starting the day with your workout in mind can help with that. Many have said the best time of day to exercise is morning, so you get it out of the way. In other words, the later you plan on doing it, the less likely it is to get done. Interestingly, it's actually better to exercise later in the day, when your endurance is believed to be most optimal.

I agree that getting something over and done sooner rather than later is a great strategy, but if you're not much of a morning person, or would rather exercise at a time when you can reach peak performance, there is still something simple you can do in the morning that will help.

I've gotten used to wearing clothes that I can easily work out in. I start my day getting ready not only for work, but for my workout too! Even if it's just the sports bra, or maybe stretchy pants. If I've taken the time to put it on in the morning, I'm less likely to find an excuse to not workout. It's like you've set your mind and already taken action, so you're essentially waiting to get to the final step. And let me tell you, the guilt that comes from having to undress from exercise gear you've worn all day but never got to exercise in just flat out sucks. So, if for no other reason than that - I get it in, and encourage you to give it a try.

FYI - I've been known to slide in a 10-15 minute quick HIIT routine just before showering to avoid feeling guilty for not exercising earlier in the day. Hey, it's better than nothing!

Shoot me an email to let me know if this works for you!

(here I've worn stretch pants and just removed the top and shoes for a great Pilates workout. BTW, Pilates is a great mid-day conference room exercise)
